Wisconsin Oven is now accepting applications for individuals seeking training programs for:

Module I: Welding & Mechanical Assembly

Curriculum Includes

  • Blue Print Reading I - Mechanical
  • Welding I - Mig
  • Welding II - Tig
  • Assembly Techniques I – Subassemblies
  • Assembly Techniques II – Oven Build
  • On the Floor Shadowing

Module II: Fundamentals of Refrigeration

Curriculum Includes

  • Basics of Refrigeration
  • Safety of Equipment Training
  • Tube & Piping Skills & Techniques including: brazing, soldering, flare, & swedge 
  • Blueprint Reading
  • Basic Troubleshooting

Training is provided by experienced WOC production personnel and engineers, as well as area experts.

Both modules run 8 weeks long. The Welding & Mechanical Assembly module offers a second semester that lasts an additional 12 weeks focusing on building sub-assemblies. Participants can elect to participate in either module.

If you are accepted to Wisconsin Oven Universal Training Center you can expect the following:

  • You will be contacted for an introduction meeting that will determine the courses you may be enrolled in, the duration and expectations.
  • This is a paid training course. This means you will be paid while you are being trained. The training wage is $10.00 per hour 25-30 hours per week maximum. Some courses will have a much lighter schedule.
  • Once you have completed one or all of the available modules, you will receive a certificate of completion along with a letter explaining in depth your training and accomplishments.
  • If you wish to apply at Wisconsin Oven Corporation during or after your training you may do so.
