End-of-the-Year Recap: Looking Back on 2016

Posted: Dec 20, 2016 | Categories: History

With the year drawing to a close, the team at Wisconsin Oven Corp. is looking forward to a productive 2017 and looking back at some of our greatest accomplishments of 2016. This month, we want to recap some of our most noteworthy posts of the year.

Highlights

Expanding our Capabilities, Better Serving our Clients

In our March blog post, we announced some of our most exciting news of the year — the addition of a West Coast manufacturing facility. This new facility allows us to better serve our many customers out West, decreasing downtime, reducing freight costs, and allowing for expedited service calls. This addition also allows us to provide more personalized service, as we can now easily make onsite visits to analyze equipment and offer feedback. Our new field office is staffed with dedicated specialists for installation, start-up and training initiatives, preventative maintenance, and repairs.

Cultivating a Culture of Growth and Innovation

We were particularly proud of our Championship Culture posts, a four-part series delving into our company culture and foundational values. At Wisconsin Oven, we place emphasis on our “WOW” factor, the “Wisconsin Oven Way” that guides our work. When clients partner with us, they receive top-quality and personalized services, start to finish.

In this blog series, we got the chance to interview a client — Heath from Maddox Industrial — about his experience working with us. Touching on our team’s clear, reliable communication and efficiency, Heath highlighted the reasons we’re proud to stand behind the WOC name.

In another part of this Championship Culture series, we talked with a few of our own hardworking employees. Jeff, one of our sales engineers, discussed WOC’s atmosphere of innovation and constant improvement. Citing a constructively competitive, goal-oriented culture, Jeff provided readers with a glimpse into the ethos that defines Wisconsin Oven.

Supporting American Manufacturers

In last month’s post, we touched upon something very close to our hearts — American manufacturing. American Made Matters® — an educational and networking drive established and sponsored by U.S.-based industries, retail distributors, and various other organization — aims to spread awareness of the importance of bringing jobs back to the United States.

They also help connect manufacturers and suppliers who adhere to certain standards: incurring 50% of the manufacturing costs in the country and completing final assembly in the United States. As reshoring efforts pick up speed, Wisconsin Oven, is proud to support this organization.
