National Energy Awareness Month

Energy is the driving force of most modern day conveniences and technology. As technological advances continue so does our need for energy. In 2011, each U.S. citizen used 313 million British Thermal Units (Btu) of energy and since then, this number has continued to increase.

Energy sources such as fossil fuels have a limited supply. As human use of energy continues to increase it is critical that more and more energy saving initiatives are taken.  As we look towards future generations, it is especially important to reduce the use of our natural resources now. As we continue to educate society and our children about the impact of our energy use we can promote more awareness about sustainability and eco-friendly alternatives.

October is National Energy Awareness Month. All over the United States, educational institutes will spend time teaching young minds the advantages of a fossil fuel free tomorrow.  Another topic to be discussed will be the need to conserve oils and coal until a fully renewable energy framework is globally in place. Businesses and individuals both play an important part in creating a sustainable future for generations to come.

Energy Saving Innovation at Wisconsin Oven

At Wisconsin Oven we have understood the importance of reducing energy use for years. Industrial ovens use a large amount of energy to generate heat and also experience heat loss that needs to be replaced during use. The engineers at Wisconsin Oven looked for alternative designs that would minimize this heat loss to save energy, while maintaining a constant oven temperature. This improvement in the energy efficiency would also reduce the ambient temperature of the facilities that house the industrial ovens, in turn reducing the energy usage by our customers to cool their facilities during warmer months.

To accomplish this goal, the Wisconsin Oven team designed an Energy Efficient Oven upgrade package that features thicker wall panels, a door limit switch, and an air filter for cleaner fuel burning and higher operating efficiencies. This E-Pack™ option is available as an upgrade on most of our standard industrial ovens. This Energy Efficient Oven upgrade improves your company’s profitability by reducing operating expenses and adds to your sustainability goals.
