Wisconsin Oven Corporation announced the shipment of a heavy duty walk-in batch oven used for baking PTFE material for a manufacturer of high performance flouropolymers. PTFE material is a state of the art high performance plastic used in several industries. Common names for PTFE are Teflon® and Fluon®.

The electrically heated walk-in oven has a maximum temperature rating of 650°F and a work chamber of 5’W x 8’L x 6’H. The batch oven features guaranteed temperature uniformity (+/-10°F at 620° F) which was verified through a nine (9) point profile test prior to shipment. The oven is designed with horizontal air flow which is ideal for products arranged on multiple tiers when heated airflow cannot be directed vertically through the product such as this application. The adjustable ductwork can be set for optimum air flow efficiencies.

“This heavy duty walk-in oven was designed to ensure our customer would receive the best part quality possible. At Wisconsin Oven we take our standard oven models and customize them to our customer’s specific applications.”  Nick Toci, Sales Engineer of Wisconsin Oven.

Unique features of this batch oven include:

  • A recirculation system with a 6,400 CFM @ 5 HP plug mounted blower.
  • An exhaust system with a 1,500 CFM @ 1 HP blower.
  • Motorized dampers on the fresh air inlet and the exhaust outlet for controlled heating and cooling capabilities.
  • A reinforced integral insulated 4” thick floor that can support up to 2,500 pounds evenly distributed.
