Wisconsin Oven Corporation announced the shipment of a composite curing oven for a leader in the aerospace industry. The oven will be used for curing composite aircraft parts, specifically the interior walls where the aircraft windows will be inserted.

Wisconsin Oven’s Express Batch Oven series was the perfect solution for this composite curing application. The Express Batch Oven is a standardized batch oven that is available with quick delivery and at a lower price point without compromising quality. This oven has a maximum temperature rating of 500°F and work chamber dimensions of 6’ W x 6’ L x 6’ H. The oven body is constructed with tongue and groove panel assemblies featuring Wisconsin Oven’s patented high efficiency panel seams which provide 25% better insulating efficiency. The oven will be used for curing composite aircraft parts, specifically the interior walls where the aircraft windows will be inserted.

The composite curing oven features combination airflow which provides both horizontal and vertical upward airflow, maximizing the heating rates and temperature uniformity of the product. The oven passed a nine (9) point profile test, with a temperature uniformity of ±10°F at 350°F. A programmable controller allows for 25 programs and 500 segments for advanced temperature control.

“The Express Batch Oven series was an ideal solution for this customer’s application and delivery requirements. As a standard it comes with combination airflow, ideal for composite curing, and a quick delivery that met our customer’s requested in house date.” – Mark Schahczinski, Sales Engineer
