Industrial Oven Options for Enhanced Safety
Industrial ovens can be customized with a wide range of options to enhance personnel safety and improve ergonomic operation. Wisconsin Oven offers safety-focused oven options that help protect operators. These industrial oven options can be added to new oven orders or retrofitted to existing equipment.
Permanent Electrical Safety Device (PESD)

Permanent Electrical Safety Device (PESD) mounted on the control panel door to verify the presence of the incoming main line voltage and test for absence of voltage; features voltmeter-compatible test points and redundant LED voltage presence indicators
Trapped Personnel Pull Cable

Trapped-personnel pull cord along both sides of the oven chamber interior; when either cord is pulled the heat will shut down and the system will sound an audible alarm to notify other operators in the area that a person is in the oven
Vertical Lift Door Safety Hook

Pneumatically operated automatic safety latch located at the top of the door mast; engages the door in the open position
Door Assist Mechanism

Door assist mechanism, to reduce the force required to open large bi-parting doors; includes a pivoting lever on the exterior of each door, connected to the door release latch at the top of the door (Qty 2 provided per set of doors)
Internal Door Assist Plunger

Opens the oven door from the inside; includes a ball handle on the interior of one bi-parting door, connected through the door via pushrod to an exterior mechanism, to open the door with reduced push force; includes the door assist mechanism (above) on both doors
Calibration Jacks
Mounted on the outside of the control enclosure; allows calibration of the oven temperature controller and other instruments, without opening the high voltage main control panel
Local Motor Disconnect Switch
A lockable NEMA-rated non-fusible disconnect switch located within sight of the recirculation and/or exhaust motor for safe and convenient maintenance lockout/tagout
Area Safety Scanner

One (1) Keyence laser scanner provided to automatically stop moving components (vertical lift door, pusher extractor, quench elevator, etc) when personnel step into the scanner line of sight
Escape Door
Secondary access door (2 ft wide x 4 ft high) integrated into the vertical lift door, to allow emergency exiting of the oven without opening the vertical lift door; does not include interlock with the vertical lift door
